Ingredients

  • 1 lb minced lamb meat

  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil

  • 1 tsp cumin seeds

  • 2-3 green chilies, finely chopped

  • 1 tbsp ginger paste

  • 1 large onion, chopped

  • 1 tbsp garlic paste

  • 1 tsp turmeric powder

  • Salt to taste

  • 1 tsp red chili powder

  • 2 tbsp chopped cilantro leaves

  • 1/2 cup tomato puree

  • 1 tsp cumin powder

  • 2 tsp coriander powder

Directions

  • Heat the oil in a large pan over medium heat. Add the cumin seeds and fry for 1-2 minutes until they start to sizzle.
  • Add the chopped onion and fry for 5-7 minutes until it turns golden brown.
  • Add the ginger paste, garlic paste, and green chilies to the pan. Fry for 2-3 minutes until the raw smell disappears.
  • Add the minced lamb meat to the pan and fry for 5-7 minutes until it is browned.
  • Add the turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, and salt to the pan. Mix well and fry for 2-3 minutes until the spices are fragrant.
  • Add the tomato puree to the pan and mix well. Cover the pan and let the keema cook for 10-12 minutes over medium heat until the meat is tender and the sauce has thickened.
  • Once the keema is cooked, turn off the heat and sprinkle chopped cilantro leaves on top.
  • Serve the Mutton Keema hot with rice, roti, or naan.
